WITH Silverstone expecting a sell-out crowd for this year’s Formula 1™ Santander British Grand Prix (July 6-8), the Northamptonshire Circuit has developed a world class line-up of free off-track entertainment.

Running over all three days of the UK’s premier motor sport event, entertainment ranges from driver autograph sessions, to concerts and aerobatic displays.

But the highlight will be the return of Silverstone’s traditional post-race finale on Sunday – the Grand Prix Party.

The party, which takes place after the last race of the day, is now firmly established as part of British Grand Prix tradition.

Free to all ticket holders, this year’s Grand Prix Party will take place on a purpose-built stage in the main Entertainment Zone at ‘Luffield’.

More than 20,000 fans are expected to stay behind for the Sunday afternoon event, which will be well supported by the F1 teams again in 2012.

Current F1 drivers and legends of British motor sport will appear on stage to chat to fans. The evening’s entertainment will then culminate with a live concert.

Fans attending this year’s party will also be part of the BBC’s post-race “Red Button” F1 Forum, as Jake Humphrey, David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan analyse key moments from the British Grand Prix on the main stage.

The F1 Forum will take place immediately before the Grand Prix Party, providing opportunities for fans to put questions to the presenters and guests.

The 2012 Grand Prix Party will be the tenth to be held at Silverstone.

All of the drivers receive a hero’s welcome, but the biggest cheers of the day are saved for the Brits.

In 2011 Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Paul Di Resta were joined on stage by fellow F1 drivers Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Vitaly Petrov, Kamui Kobayashi, Sergio Perez, Jaime Alguesuari, Sebastien Buemi and Jerome D’Ambrosio. Karun Chandhok also made an appearance, along with Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner and former World Champions Sir Jackie Stewart and Damon Hill OBE.

A limited number of ‘Three Day’ and ‘Race Day’ grandstand tickets are still available. Visit www.silverstone.co.uk or call 0844 3728 300 for further information, or to book tickets.
