THE long journey to the racing track on Anglesey proved to be a worthwhile one for Weedon driver David Bryant.
Following on from last months successful meeting at Silverstone, David netted another second in class and finished fifth overall in the Future Classics race organised by the Classic Sports Car Club.
Highlight of the 40-minute race was an unexpected duel with the Jaguar D Type replica driven by Paul Alcock.
The two cars separated by less than a second for more than half the race until the Toyota MR2 had to take its compulsory pitstop.
The D Type along with seven other Jaguars are not required to make a stop and normally have a separate race but were added to the field due to the low number of entries.
Overall first place went to Brett Evans in a Porsche 944 ahead of Mark Chilton driving a Porsche 928.
