CHILDREN had an eye for a perfect picture and had their efforts rewarded with a display in a gallery.
All of the pupils at Ashby Fields Primary School in Daventry took part in a photographic competition with the children encouraged to find something that captured spring in Northamptonshire.
The competition, which was judged by Dawn Brannigan from First Light Photographic and Simon Williams from the Evergreen Art Cafe, has seen seven winners from each year group.
The winning pictures have also been framed and are available to see at the cafe in Sheaf Street, Daventry.
Year Four teacher Christine Hambrook said: “The children have thoroughly enjoyed it and because the parents were supervising their children while they were taking the pictures, I think they enjoyed it too.
“A lot of them do photography in their spare time and the competition was a chance for them to do something different that they wouldn’t normally do at school.”
