CASEYS played hosts to The Olde Sun in the first game this week and it was the home side who dominated.
They took the pairs game when Gary Birch (120, 100) and Mark Taylor beat Lee Arnold and Glen Kilgour (125, 100) 2-1.
Singles wins came for Nigel Turland (121, 100 x 2) 2-1 over Glen Kilgour (140, 100), Chris Gay (133, 100) 3-0 over Andy Zahiadi (140), Mark Taylor 2-1 over Pete Mullen (106s) and Dave Summerfield (140) 3-0 over Rory Smallbone (100).
Despite a consolation 3-0 win for Lee Arnold (100 x 3) over Gary Birch (121) in the final game it was Caseys who scored an overall 12-6 win.
Game two saw Wheatsheaf Weedon A visit Con Club and it was the home side that took the pairs game – thanks to a 2-1 win for Ivan Lester (140 x 2, 100) and Robin Peasland over Max Murray and Ozzy.
The away side hit back with singles wins for Mick Doney (140 x 2, 125, 100) 3-0 over Nick Coe and Ozzy (140 x 2, 121, 100) 2-1 over Ivan Lester (135, 100 x 4) before a home win for Stuart Coe Snr over Brian Farmer kept them in it.
An away win for Bully (140 x 2, 100 x 5) 3-0 over Simon Adkins (100 x 5) was followed by a home win for Ray Hobrow 2-1 over Max Murray (140, 100, 100s) in the final game to give Wheatsheaf Weedon A an overall 11-7 win.
DWMC B entertained Wheatsheaf Braunston in game three and this proved to be a close contest.
The home side took the pairs when Tony Leedham (118) and Rich Ludlow (100) beat Swanny (134) and Gordy Aldridge (125) 2-1 before away singles wins for Gavin Taylor (123, 100) 2-1 over Gav Taylor (100 x 2) and Tommy Kendall (140, 100, 108s) 2-1 over James Taylor.
Home wins followed for Dave Keating (140, 120s) 2-1 over Glen Thompson and Rich Ludlow (100 x 4) 2-1 over Adie Newbury (121, 100 x 2) to give them the narrowest of leads. But a 3-0 win for Swanny (140, 137, 123, 100 x 2, 112s) over Tony Leedham (140) in the final game gave Wheatsheaf Braunston an overall 10-8 victory.
The final game this week saw The Peppermill at home to Slim Jims and this was another thriller.
Rich Denis (142, 100 x 2) and Andy Teale (100) took the pairs game for the away side with a 2-1 win over Paul Butler (101, 100, 120s) and Stuart Marshall before home singles wins for Clive Hart (140 x 2, 100, 102s) 2-1 over Dave Harris (140 x 2, 125), Troy Miller (125, 100 x 2) 3-0 over Rachel Harris (100, 95, 85 x 2, 81, 86s) and Paul Butler (140, 123) 3-0 over Sam Harris (100, 85, 81 x 2).
This put the home side within a leg of victory. But away wins for Andy Teale (142, 100 x 3) 3-0 over Keith Chapman (114s) and Rich Denis (100 x 6, 120s) 3-0 over Callum Miller meant the final score was a hard fought nine-all draw.
