PLANS for a visitor centre at Naseby Battlefield may have to be revised.
The Naseby Battlefield Project, formed 12 years ago, needs £300,000 to buy the land. It was bought four years ago with loans from six donors, who now want their money back.
Plans for the project are still intended to go ahead but changes may have to be made if the money cannot be found.
It was the site of the 1645 Battle of Naseby where King Charles I’s army were defeated and was one of the most significant battles of the English Civil War. It is seen as the perfect place for a visitor centre.
Daventry District Council gave planning permission for the project in July 2011.
