ROADWORKS will shut the road between Long Buckby Wharf and Long Buckby.
Repair work needs to be carried out on the rail bridge at Long Buckby Wharf, and the road will need to be closed between 9am and 4pm for three days commencing February 19.
The official diversion route will be via the A5, Watford and West Street in Long Buckby.
Then, on Monday, February 25 work will start on resurfacing the A5 between Watford and Kilsby, along with improvements to drainage and road markings.
During the first week of preparation work there will be temporary traffic lights.
Then from Friday, March 1 work will be done at day and night requiring a full closure of that stretch of the A5. During that time the A5 will be closed from Kilsby to Weedon.
