Avid readers now have somewhere to sit in the sun thanks the Long Buckby Library Supporters Group.
The garden, which was badly overgrown, will officially open on Sunday, May 12 with a ribbon cutting at 2pm and tea and cakes served until 3.30pm.
The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation donated the £2,000 for the project, Long Buckby Gardening Club members also donated some of the plants and the Buckby Feast Fund supplied garden benches. Members of the BLS planted flower beds and volunteer Eric Preece kept weeds at bay.
Library manager Ann Bamfield said: “Now we look forward to a good summer to use the garden!”
