DESPITE the unpredictable British weather we’ve been experiencing, spring has definitely sprung in one village.
With the weather appearing to be warming up this week, and the first spring bulbs poking their noses above the soil, it won’t be long until the district’s fields are filled with young lambs bouncing around. And already the young sheep have put in an appearance.
The Bliss Lane Nursery in Flore has been offering visitors the chance to get up close to some of this season’s new arrivals – a number of spring lambs.
However, three of the newborn lambs have been abandoned by their mums or orphaned and are now being hand fed by their owners to ensure their survival.
Visitors to Bliss Lane Nurserys can see the lambs for £1. It’s 50p for a bag of food and will be £1 for a bottle of milk once the lambs get bigger.
