AN ARSON investigation has been launched after a fire at former DIY store in Daventry on Monday, March 5.
Crews were called to the old Focus store, off Sopwith Way in the town, at 8pm.
Two crews from Daventry, one from Long Buckby and one from Woodford Halse, plus an aerial appliance from Corby were sent out. Crews remained on the scene until around 10.30pm.
The police said they believed the fire could have been started between 6.30pm and 8pm.
It is believed a shutter was forced open and an internal glass pane was smashed in order to gain access to the unit.
The unoccupied unit was was then set alight, causing smoke damage to the whole building.
