SOME new faces were among the groups who went along to an orienteering event at Everdon Stubbs woods near Daventry on Saturday.
Organised by Suzanne Humphries from the Octavian Droobers, the event was for orienteering regulars, and people wanting to try out the sport.
Blake and Candice Jones finished first on the short 1.5k course in 27.39 minutes, on their first experience of the sport. On the 2.3k course Mia Campbell came in first in 35.27 minutes. While on the 3.4k course the winner was Thomas Honniball taking 33.38 minutes. The 4k course was won by the club chairman, Bob Brandon which involved a letter code.
The next event will be held at Borough Hill, Daventry, on Wednesday, April 11 from 5pm to 6pm.
