Towcester 28 Market Rasen & Louth 0 TOWCESTER got their rugby union league programme back on track scoring four converted tries to best Market Rasen & Louth.
The game had an extra edge as the landlord of The Plough in Towcester, Nick Hastings, is a former president of Market Rasen and had promised to lay on a free barrel of beer if Tows won.
Tows scored through full-back Matt Yuill and fly-half James Falvey in the first-half.
Tows’ fitness became a telling factor and further tries came through winger Adam Wilkinson and scrum-half Chrissie George to give the backs a clean sweep. Falvey converted all four tries.
Towcester 33 Market Rasen & Louth 12 Two tries apiece for Matt Bodily and Dom Clarke helped to secure the double over Market Rasen.
