IT WAS a school day of two halves for children who received a group of special visitors.
Pupils at Falconers Hill Junior School had a football- themed day when Northampton Town players called in.
PE co-ordinator Ellie Wilson said: “They gave us lessons for the children to do, so the whole day would be football themed.
“One year group had to design a new stadium, with certain requirements, while another group had to draw up a healthy weekly diet.
“Four first team players came in and did Q and A sessions, and there was some coaching too.
“At the end of the day we had an assembly where the pupils had to create new goal celebrations, and the players promised to do them in the last home game of the season this Saturday.
“The children loved the day and had a great time.
“They were also selling tickets to the game which were bought by a lot of people, some of whom wouldn’t have gone before.”
