TEAMS of people battled to find their way around courses on Daventry’s Borough Hill.
The orienteering event on Wednesday afternoon last week was organised by the Octavian Droobers, with member John Ward setting up a series of courses on the hill.
Newcomers Bernie and Cat Snell came in first on the shorter yellow course in 17.13 mins ahead of juniors from the Jeffries and Sarkies families.
Suzanne Humphries W45 was first on the orange course in 27.49 mins; Ros James W45 from South Midlands Orienteers came second in 30.18 mins and Richard Steel M45 third in 30.39 mins.
Only seconds separated the top three on the longer green course which Bob Brandon M60 won in 32.18 mins ahead of Alan Segar M35 32.37 mins and Mike Hampton M65 33.06 mins.
