A DRAMA group will be bringing the glam of London to Daventry with a brand new show.
Daventry Players will present A Touch of West End featuring a number of songs from popular musicals made famous in the capital including Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats and Miss Saigon.
Kellie Hodgett, the show’s co-director alongside Leah Cooper, said: “We have been working on lots of shows with pop songs and movie hits with recent performances to appeal to younger people in the crowd.
“But we decided this time around that we want to do something a little bit more classy and appeal to a different audience.”
A total of 20 cast members will be presenting the singing show with a wide variety of different costumes to match with each song.
Kellie added: “Our aim was to bring a touch of the West End to Daventry.
“It is a chance to come and see a bit of it on your doorstep so I would hope people will come and support their local amateur drama group.”
A Touch of West End will be performed at Casey’s Club in Market Square, Daventry on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28. Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm each night.
Tickets cost £5 and they can be purchased by visiting the Salvation Army store in Bowen Square, Daventry.
