Everyone is being invited to join in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations with an afternoon of family entertainment at The Big Jubilee Lunch next month.
The celebrations are being held at Daventry Country Park on Sunday, June 3, from 12pm to 4pm when visitors can take a picnic and enjoy the show with their family and friends.
Daventry District Council (DDC) and Daventry Town Council have organised The Big Jubilee Lunch, which will feature entertainment from Foxhill Music School, Scorpion Dance Academy and other local groups.
For the younger visitors there will be children’s rides, a Jubilee craft area and a toy tombola stall run by local company Wincanton, while food and refreshments will be available to buy from the park café.
DDCs chief executive Ian Vincent said: “Everyone is invited to visit the country park next month and enjoy this free event to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
“There will be a wide variety of entertainment catering for all tastes and ages, and with plenty of bunting and decorations there promises to be a great community atmosphere in the park’s wonderful surroundings, and I would encourage everyone to visit.”
