A SEA of celebration is set to sweep the Daventry district to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
A host of events including street parties, concerts and fetes are planned over the coming weekend and double bank holiday.
The Queen will become just the second monarch in British history to mark 60 years on the throne, following in the footsteps of Queen Victoria.
In Daventry there will be a big lunch in the Country Park on Sunday, June 3 from 12pm with live music afterwards.
Daventry District Councillor Alan Hills said: “The big lunch will be a fantastic occasion. There will be music, entertainment and lots of fun all afternoon, and I hope that everyone can join us to help mark the celebrations.”
The Daventry Express has compiled this comprehensive guide to the royal celebrations around the region.
