HOUSEHOLDERS in the Daventry district can take advantage of an insulation scheme to help stay warm and save money on energy bills this winter.
The Warm Front Scheme offers grants of up to £3,500 to homeowners and private tenants receiving certain income or disability related benefits.
The scheme provides a package of insulation and heating measures tailored to meet individual needs including loft and cavity wall insulation, draught proofing, hot water tank jackets and, in some cases additional heating which could be a new central heating system.
Councillor Chris Millar, leader of Daventry District Council, said: “This is a very good scheme that could help people keep warmer and more comfortable in their homes.
“Although it’s the summer now, winter will soon be here so it’s worth people checking to see if they will be eligible to receive any help.”
The Warm Front scheme is funded by the Government and managed by Carillion Energy Services. A
